Foil Stamping
The process of Foil Stamping is known primarily for the shiny metallic gold or silver print that it produces-though foil is available in hundreds of colors, patterns, and textures.

Foil can be used as a subtle design accent, or as a "flashy" element in your artwork. And it is totally opaque, so it can be successfully administered on any color of paper.

The physical process of foil stamping is similar to engraved printing. The foil graphic is permanently transferred to paper by impacting a heated metal die against the foil and the paper under the extreme pressure of a stamping press.

Blind Embossing
Blind embossing is subtle and elegant way to convey your IMAGE on paper.

The process of blind embossing utilizes a metal die and a counter, along with pressure, to reshape the surface of paper. The result of blind embossing is a three-dimensional graphic that creates visual depth and contrast.

Not all embossing is "blind." It can also be combined with engraved or offset inks, and foil, creating a raised image and adding depth and dimension to colored graphics.

Die Cutting
The process of die cutting uses steel rules combined with high pressure to create custom cut-out shapes in paper for various functions or attractive design elements.

Die cutting is ideally suited for unusual shaped products, such as a circular coaster, or marketing pieces with unusual folds and angles, as well as subtle design accents like rounded corners.

Offset Printing (Lithography)
Lithography is the most common type of printing used today. It uses the "oil and water don't mix" principle to transfer an image from a printing plate to paper. The inks used for offset printing can be mixed to match virtually any color. Offset presses allow for the application of several colors in the same press run, making multicolored print runs very economical.

Offset inks are applied to the surface of the paper, resulting in a flat appearance and feel.

Because it is the most common and unadorned printing process, Ponté Graphics Co. often combines the simplicity of lithography with the elegance of blind embossing, foil stamping, or engraving, resulting in a visually enhanced product to match your IMAGE.
